Julia Pytko is a Polish born, London based composer and sound designer working across film, fashion and installation. She works as PYTKO.
Her music has been synced into 7 Keys, which premiered at SXSW 2024, and soundtracked Brandon Maxwell's Spring Summer 2025 show at New York Fashion Week. She is currently composing the score for Becoming Christine Granville, a documentary on the wartime operative Krystyna Skarbek.
Recent commissions include Sztućce, composed with Pantea for a Leverhulme Trust research fellowship on the musical legacy of Polish refugees in Iran, and Changing the Balance, made from field recordings at the London Wetland Centre for a project between University of the Arts London and Universidad Austral de Chile.
She releases on Phantasy Sound, with support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and NTS, and holds an MA in Music Production from London College of Communication, UAL.
